Day 02: Beijing (B, L)
Private escorted tour to over 500-year-old Temple of Heaven. It is basically a huge communication terminal which the Emperor used to communicate directly with Heaven, and it was included in the World Heritage List in 1998. Secondly, go to the Tiananmen Square, located at the heart of Beijing, is the world's largest city center square. Then enter the Forbidden City. It was nominated as World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO in 1987 and recognized as one of the most important five palaces in the world. At night, a delicious Peking duck dinner is prepared.
Day 03: Beijing (B, L)
Private escorted tour to Mutianyu Great Wall by round-way cable car. Mutianyu, meaning 'Admiring Fields Valley', is the longest fully-restored Great Wall section open to tourists and about 2.5 hours' drive from downtown Beijing. Next, visit the Summer palace. The Chinese call it Yihe Yuan, and the landscaped gardens, temples, and pavilions were designed to achieve harmony with nature. It was listed on the World Heritage List by the UNESCO in 1998.
Day 04: Beijng – Taiyuan – Pingyao (B, L, D)
In the morning, have a pedicab tour to Hutong, namely Beijing’s traditional alleyways, represents Beijing's origin, location or history. It is in these gray-tiled long lanes that families play, buy goods, gossip, and connect. After lunch, transfer to take a speed train to Taiyuan. Be met at the train station and transferred to have dinner. Then drive to Pingyao by car.
Day 05: Pingyao – Xian by Train (B, L)
Today, enjoy your visit to Pingyao old town, ancient city wall, Rishengchang Exchange Shop, Ancient County Government Museum, Temple of Town God and Ming Qing Street. Drive about 15 minutes and you will see the Double Forest Temple (Shuangli Si). Then head for Qiao Family Compound, which is a masterpiece of residential architecture of Ming and Qing Dynasty in North China. Take D train toXian(about 3 hours). Arrive at Xian. Be met & transferred to your hotel.
Day 06: Xian (B, L)
After breakfast, Visit Ancient City Wall, the most intact ancient Chinese wall in existence. It encircles and protects the ancient part of Xian City. Later, transfer to visit the famous Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses Museum, which is one of the highlight attractions in China. It is significant because the hundreds of detailed life-size models.
Day 07: Xian – Luoyang (B, L)
After breakfast, enjoy your visit to Small Wild Goose Pagoda, Xian Museum, Gao’ Family Compound and watch a local Shadow play. Then take a speed train to Luoyang in the late afternoon. Be met and transfer to the hotel.
Day 08: Luoyang (B, L)
After breakfast, transfer to visit Longmen Grottos, Luoyang Museum, Emperor Carriage Museum (Tianzijialiu) and old city town.
Day 09: Luoyang – Dengfeng – Zhengzhou (B, L)
After breakfast, drive to Dengfeng to visit the world-famous Shaolin Temple, Pagoda Forest, and Kung Fu performance. Then proceed to Zhengzhou.
Day 10: Zhengzhou – Qufu (B, L)
After breakfast, take a speed train to Qufu, - the hometown of Confucius (4.5 hours). Our guide will pick you up at the train station, then visit Confucius Temple, and Confucius Family Mansion.
Day 11: Qufu – Taian – Nanjing (B, L, D)
After a quick visit to Confucius Family Cemetery, drive to Tai’an to visit Mount Tai (round-way cable car and shuttle bus included) and see the summit of the mountain. Take a speed train to Nanjing in the evening (2h15min).
Day 12: Nanjing (B, L)
After breakfast, you will star today's tour with a visit to the Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum, Linggu Temple, then to Mausoleum of Dr. Sun Yat-sen. Then visit the Confucius Temple. In the evening you will be treated to a cruise along the Qinhuai River.
Day 13: Nanjing - Suzhou (B, L)
After breakfast, we will pick you up at hotel and visit the ancient Zhonghua Gate and old city wall, the Memorial of the Nanjing Massacre. Take a speed train to Suzhou (1.5 hours). Be met at the train station and transferred to the hotel.
Day 14: Suzhou – Shanghai (B, L)
After breakfast, visit Garden of Net Master, No.1 Silk Factory, Tiger Hill, then enjoy a cruise in the Grand Canal. Drive to Shanghai.
Day 15: Shanghai (B, L)
City tours to the Jade Buddha Temple, Shanghai History Museum, World Financial Center, the Bund and Nanjing Road.
Day 16: Shanghai departure (B)
Transfer to the airport and fly to your next destination.
